This islands are inhabited by numerous species of marine birds such as blue footed boobies, yellow footed boobies, brown boobies, pelicans, herman´s seaguls and frigates to mention a few.

Because of their large area, Islas Marietas offer a variety of dive sites to accomodate all levels and interests of divers.

It is not unusual to see giant mantas in Islas Marietas. During the whale season (November-March) it is common to observe whales around the islands.
