Mossel Bay has more than 1 dive site - It seems that there is a miss conception as to the diving suitabilty of Mossel Bay and as a locakl diver I would like to set the record straight. There are 2 dive opporators in the town but only 1 PADI resort but there are are at least 5 locally used sites at which we dive. Dollosse is a site which is used exclusively by the one opporator and not a very liked dive by any of the local divers who rather use Santos Beach as the prefered shore entry dive. There are also sites called Fan Gardens, Mitches reef, Santos and Windvogel to name but a few and the PADI resort is investigating a few spots which are reported to have wrecks. Mossel Bay is a Divers destination for a diver that is not afraid of the cold in winter and wants the possibility of seeing a wide range of Marine life. Don't let people tell you otherwise as I started diving here last year and have had some fantastic dives my favourite being the night dive.
